I can see how it might of been confused because Owen was so tired from that nightmare of a drive. But to set the record straight we actually erupted into sarcastic applause when they showed up.

The crowd didn't really mind, They showed up with plenty of time to tell their stories. and talk about the beer.

The food. Man I thought I knew Tyler's food. But they really bring out the good stuff for beer dinners.

Menu: http://www.tylerstaproom.com/static/images/posters/terrapin-lefthand-beer-dinner.pdf

The Terrapin Pumpkinfest was a wonderful and somewhat unexpected pairing with the Gulaschuppe. As an American I sometimes forget that the world mostly pairs pumpkin with savory and not with deserts. This beef soup almost like a chili cut the spices in the beer keeping from it getting overwhelming and tying it nicely into the course.

The Crispy Molasses port belly was wonderful. The top had a caramelized molasses coating and was wonderful with the Left Hand Porter. I did feel that the grits were a little too cheesy and or the cheese was a little on the processed side. I have no idea what kind of cheese the chef used. But it came across, and I don't mean to be flip, a bit like velveeta. I would of preferred a more rustic cheese along with the grits.

Midnight Project Depth Charge, a coffee milk stout was paired with Vanilla bean Pot de Creme and warm cinnamon doughnuts. This was breakfast for desert and a great finish to the evening.

Well actually the great finish was me winning the good Left Hand Brewing ballcap in the drawing.

The dinner was a good time, and I was lucky enough to be in Durham for it. I can't wait to see what the menu for the Monk's Cafe leg of the tour was.
